Today, as I was reading I ran across this scripture.<\/p>\n
“<\/sup>The backslider in heart [from God and from fearing God] shall be filled with [the fruit of] his own ways, and a good man shall be satisfied with [the fruit of] his ways [with the holy thoughts and actions which his heart prompts and in which he delights].”<\/em> Proverbs 14:14 Amplified Version<\/p>\n Often times, I stop and think, “Am I doing okay?\u00c2\u00a0 Am I living the way God wants me to live?”\u00c2\u00a0 I feel like we should daily take a look at where we are with God.\u00c2\u00a0 Am I going forward or backwards?\u00c2\u00a0 Did today seem less like I was living for God than yesterday?\u00c2\u00a0 Do I feel good about what God accomplished through me today?\u00c2\u00a0 Why or Why not?\u00c2\u00a0 Did I feel urged to do something and do it?\u00c2\u00a0 Or not do it?\u00c2\u00a0 What have I done for the kingdom today?<\/p>\n But at times we analyze the faults so much that we fail to see the good of what God is doing in and through us!<\/p>\n This scripture has made me, again, think about what the final product is of my day.\u00c2\u00a0 Is it my “own fruit”?\u00c2\u00a0 or is it a satisfaction that I have followed the Lord and therefore the “fruit” is good?\u00c2\u00a0 As the Amplified Version states it… “and a good man shall be satisfied with [the fruit of] his ways [with the holy thoughts and actions which his heart prompts and in which he delights<\/strong>]<\/em>.”\u00c2\u00a0 To me, this is beautiful.\u00c2\u00a0 Because often as I look over a day, I think, “Wow, God seemed to be continually leading me, I had this thought, or that thought… and they were good, pure, right.”\u00c2\u00a0 And, my heart does feel delighted and satisfied with what God accomplished through me.<\/p>\n So many question, How does it really feel to live for God?\u00c2\u00a0 How do you know your are doing all you can?\u00c2\u00a0 How do you keep going and stop questioning?<\/p>\n I place my trust in the ONE True God!\u00c2\u00a0 His name is Jesus!\u00c2\u00a0 And as I pray throughout the day, and as I think upon Him… I can see how He changes my mind, thought patterns and responses.\u00c2\u00a0 He is real, and He cares about our every day lives.\u00c2\u00a0 Try Him!\u00c2\u00a0 Think about Him throughout the day… Would He be able to sit beside you and do what you do?\u00c2\u00a0 Would He be able to sit beside you and watch what you watch?\u00c2\u00a0 Would He be able to go where you go? Would He feel the need to leave? Or would He be comfortable with you?<\/p>\n And maybe your answer of the day will be, “Wow… He did that through me… And my normal response would have been this, but I felt Him lead me to do it in a different way… I’ve been feeling thankful, when I am normally depressed..
