• Amplified Version.

1BUT AS to the suitable times and the precise seasons and dates, brethren, you have no necessity for anything being written to you.

2For you yourselves know perfectly well that the day of the [return of the] Lord will come [as unexpectedly and suddenly] as a thief in the night.

3When people are saying, All is well and secure, and, There is peace and safety, then in a moment unforeseen destruction (ruin and death) will come upon them as suddenly as labor pains come upon a woman with child; and they shall by no means escape, for there will be no escape.

4But you are not in [given up to the power of] darkness, brethren, for that day to overtake you by surprise like a thief.

5For you are all sons of light and sons of the day; we do not belong either to the night or to darkness.

6Accordingly then, let us not sleep, as the rest do, but let us keep wide awake (alert, watchful, cautious, and on our guard) and let us be sober (calm, collected, and circumspect).

7For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who are drunk, get drunk at night.

8But we belong to the day; therefore, let us be sober and put on the breastplate (corslet) of faith and love and for a helmet the hope of salvation.

9For God has not appointed us to [incur His] wrath [He did not select us to condemn us], but [that we might] obtain [His] salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)

10Who died for us so that whether we are still alive or are dead [at Christ's appearing], we might live together with Him and share His life.

11Therefore encourage (admonish, exhort) one another and edify (strengthen and build up) one another, just as you are doing.

12Now also we beseech you, brethren, get to know those who labor among you [recognize them for what they are, acknowledge and appreciate and respect them all]–your leaders who are over you in the Lord and those who warn and kindly reprove and exhort you.

13And hold them in very high and most affectionate esteem in [intelligent and sympathetic] appreciation of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.

14And we earnestly beseech you, brethren, admonish (warn and seriously advise) those who are out of line [the loafers, the disorderly, and the unruly]; encourage the timid and fainthearted, help and give your support to the weak souls, [and] be very patient with everybody [always keeping your temper].

15See that none of you repays another with evil for evil, but always aim to show kindness and seek to do good to one another and to everybody.

    16Be happy [in your faith] and rejoice and be glad-hearted continually (always);

    17Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly];

18Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].

    19Do not quench (suppress or subdue) the [Holy] Spirit;

20Do not spurn the gifts and utterances of the prophets [do not depreciate prophetic revelations nor despise inspired instruction or exhortation or warning].

21But test and prove all things [until you can recognize] what is good; [to that] hold fast.

22Abstain from evil [shrink from it and keep aloof from it] in whatever form or whatever kind it may be.

23And may the God of peace Himself sanctify you through and through [separate you from profane things, make you pure and wholly consecrated to God]; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved sound and complete [and found] blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah).

24Faithful is He Who is calling you [to Himself] and utterly trustworthy, and He will also do it [fulfill His call by hallowing and keeping you].

    25Brethren, pray for us.

26Greet all the brethren with a sacred kiss.

27I solemnly charge you [in the name of] the Lord to have this letter read before all the brethren.

28The grace (the unmerited favor and blessings) of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) be with you all. Amen, (so be it).

As I sit here and read this, it causes me to examine myself… again.  :)   Isn’t the Word of God like that?  Constantly peeling back the layers we have built up around us… going deep to the heart, where it caresses or pierces at our inner most being.

I feel at a loss for more words … I just need to go and talk with my Jesus!

… “The grace (the unmerited favor and blessings) of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) be with you all. Amen, (so be it).”

  • The Bible has many scriptures, especially when you read from the KJV, that are poetic, and unless we take time (individually – ourselves) to study them out… we may miss their real meaning.  One scripture I have heard over and over, always thinking I fully understood the meaning… but WOW,  Today in prayer, I began to feel the need to study it.  I’m so thankful I did!

“The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.” KJV

The wind (pneuma – Christ’s spirit, the Holy Spirit) bloweth (pneo – to breath) where it listeth (thelo – to will, be resolved, to desire), and thou hearest (akouo – to hear, to attend, be noised, be reported) the sound (phone – a sound, tone, musical instrument, a voice, a sound of uttered words, speech, of a language, tongue) thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so (houto – in this way, in like manner) is (esti – to be, come, must need) everyone (pas – all, any every) that is born (gennao – to be born, begotten) of (ek – after, out of, from, by) the Spirit (pneuma – Christ’s spirit, the Holy Spirit).

  • The other day, while seeking an answer to a question… God led me to a certain passage of scripture.

Being a pastor’s wife, there are so many times that we have to realized the importance of our walk with God.  The importance of leading people the right direction.  Yes, unfortunately there are many interpretations of the Word of God.  Even in many translations, there are scriptures changed, or completely left out.  What right do we have to change the Word of God?  Yes, we need to understand it… in layman terms… but change it?  NO!  But not only do we need to be careful about how we interpret the Word of God, we also need to be very careful in what we say God says.

Recently on Facebook, a friend of mine mentioned that “FACEBOOK USER… thinks it’s funny how some folks think it is very important that they made certain changes in their lives because it was God’s will.  When you say it once there is meaning to it.  When you have to repeat it several times,… one starts to wonder….. was it really God’s will, or yours and you just feel guilty about it?

I was surprised by the responses.  Many people ridiculed this person for mentioning the possibility that whomever they talked of was wrong… that they questioned their motives.  I think it is necessary that we question.  If we didn’t, we would believe blindly, we would follow whatever new fad came and just go with the flow.

Ezekiel 13 warns us of prophesying from our own spirit… having seen nothing.

“AND THE word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts.  Hear ye the word of the LORD;  Thus saith the LORD GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!  O Israel, the prophets are like the foxes in the deserts.  Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD. They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The Lord saith: and the LORD hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.  Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The LORD saith it: albeit I have not spoken?  Therefore thus saith the LORD GOD; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the LORD GOD.  And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the LORD GOD.  Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered mortar:  Say unto them which daub it with untempered mortar, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall: and a stormy wind shall rend it.  Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?  Therefore thus saith the LORD GOD: I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.  So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered mortar, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.  Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed it with untempered mortar, and will say unto you, The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it.  To wit, the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the LORD GOD.  Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy against them.  And say, Thus saith the LORD GOD; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls!  Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?  And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies? Wherefore thus saith the LORD GOD; Behold I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.  Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.  Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:  Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am LORD.

It is very important that we be sure what we say is from God before we put the words, “The LORD saith,” or before we proclaim something came from God.  This has caused me to analyze my own words.  I have already been very careful of using the words, “The LORD saith,” because I have never wanted my own words/desires to come after it… I want to make sure that I don’t lead someone else the wrong direction because of what I say… Salvation is so very important, Direction from God is very important, Living a life Holy and acceptable unto God is important… There are many times that I have seen someone say, “I heard this from the LORD…” and it didn’t line up with His Word.  How can that be from God?  It wasn’t.  I can stand firm on that!  He will never do anything against what His Word has already proclaimed.  His Word is Truth.  It stands!

I don’t think it is wrong to question the motive?  Especially when something in your spirit just questions it.  When you know the Word of God, the spirit within you will discern whether something is of GOD or not.  But you have to spend enough time with GOD to be able to discern the difference!

I challenge you to read this passage of scripture … even in other translations (Amplified, NIV, etc…) for better understanding.  Compare it to the King James Version, so that you don’t lose the full meaning but read it!!!  Take it to heart.

We need to make certain that what we profess, what we proclaim… especially when it comes to the Word of God,  aligns with His Word and that we are not allowing self or our own vain visions to cloud truth… What does the LORD saith?

Today, while reading Joshua 13-14, where God instructed Joshua to divide the      promised land to the remaining tribes that had not yet obtained their inheritance, I was struck again with the thought of how Moses never saw the promised land.

Why?  In Numbers 20:1-12, when the children of Israel were complaining about not having water to drink, God told Moses to take his rod, and speak unto the rock before the congregation and it shall bring forth his water.    In verses 10-11, “And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock? And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly…” Verse 12, “And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.”

He was given a simple and clear command.  Yet, he didn’t obey the Lord.  I Samuel 15:22 says, “And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord?  Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

Obeying is better than sacrifice!  But yet, there are so many things in the Bible that people just can’t seem to grasp… God just wants obedience!  Do we really have to have a reason for everything that is in His word?  Is His word not enough?

Acts 5:29, Peter answers the high priest, saying, “We ought to obey God rather than man.“  One thing I find interesting is that some say that the words of Jesus are the words that they follow.  Great.  Good.  But… aren’t all the words of Jesus written by men inspired by God.  Wouldn’t the words written in the Epistles be just as much from God as the red letter words written in the Gospels and Acts 1?  They both being written by man, but inspired of God.  Why do we have any other words than those of Christ if they aren’t as important?

The problem with us today, is that we have been taught that everything is okay… or that there really isn’t right or wrong… it is only opinion.  My Bible tells me different.  And the wild thing is.. His commandments are so easy to live by, His leading and directing is so true and RIGHT… but we have our own opinion.  We have our own understanding.  Surely, the brains God gave us are to make decisions as to what His word says.

So, let’s think about that.  Are our children born with the brains to just make decisions?  Or, do they need leading and directing… sometimes correction?  God uses our lives… things that we live daily… to help us understand the relationship He wants with us.  Weren’t we taught to obey our parents?  Doesn’t the Bible tell us in Colossians 3:20, “Children obey your parents in all things: for this is wellpleasing to the Lord.”  As well, Colossians 3:18-23 in full… tell wives to submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord, husbands love your wives, and be not bitter against them, father’s provoke not your children to anger lest they be discouraged, servants obey in all things your masters according to the flesh… not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing the Lord.  Whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.

And it goes even further… verse 25, “But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done:  and there is no respect of persons.

These are only a few of the scriptures directing us to do or live something.  The Bible is full of scriptures directing and leading us on what to do for salvation and how to live a life right before God.  I’m not perfect. I daily ask for forgiveness for my sin.  But I am striving to be obedient in all I do.

Lord, if You say it, help me to be willing to do it with the right spirit and in obedience to what You ask of me.  I know that what You ask isn’t necessarily what I understand.  But I have faith in You and know that You have created me and You know what is best for me.  Help me to be willing and not continually question.  Help me to take Your word for what it is, and not try to change it for my own comfort or agenda.  Amen.

  • But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession.  And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles feet.  But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?  Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold,  was it not in thine own power?  why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? Thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.  And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out and buried him.

And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done came in.  And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much?  And she said, Yea, for so much.  Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord?  behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.  Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.

And a great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.  And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch.  And of the rest durst no man join himself to them but the people magnified them.  And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)  Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.  There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.

How immune to judgement do we become?  How deceiving to think that God wouldn’t know what we are doing and thinking! With Sapphira it was lying with her words, as well as actions.  But with Ananias it was actions.  Actions!  What do I do daily?  How might my actions portray a lie.  Wow.  I have got to get to the point where thought and deed line up with the word of God.  In some ways, we might feel that God has become more lenient because we don’t see people just drop dead in this way.  But has His word changed?  This was in the new testament church.

We desire to be like Peter, where something would happen to people as our shadow fell upon them… but what are our intentions.  Where does the desire stem from? Is that desire any different from Ananias.  Is it to be more like Christ and truly suffer with Him, or is it to become a name, or a “respected” leader, because of something we can do or give?

Oh, Lord, I pray that my life and my walk reflects you.  And that I wouldn’t try to lie to you in any area of my life.  Cleanse me, and help me to be honest in all I say and do.  Lord, I know that I am not worthy and my flesh is corrupt… help me to think clearly before I act.  Help me to get beyond that flesh and see into the spiritual. Lord, help me to desire what you would have me to be, and not what I “think” I should be.

Peter and John went up “together” into the temple at the hour of prayer being the 9th hour.

A certain man being lame from his mother’s womb was carried and was laid “daily” at the gate of the temple, which was called “Beautiful” to ask of alms of them that entered into the temple.

Who seeing Peter and John about to eanter the temple, asked for alms.

And Peter looking at him with John said, Look on us.  and he looked at them “expecting to receive.

Peter said “Silver and Gold, have I none, but such as I have give I thee, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.  And Peter took him by the right hand and “lifted” him up and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.  And he leaping up stood and walked and entered into the temple.  Walking and leaping and praising God.

And the people saw him walking and praising God.  And they know it was he that had sat at the temple asking for alms.  They were filled with wonderment and amazement.

Eating breakfast and studying the word of God.  Kelsea and I just completed a study together about encouraging yourself in the Lord.

I am seeing where God is ministering to her and I both.  She was refilled with the Holy Ghost on Nov 5, 2008 along with others.  Rev. Charles Robinette, missionary to Austria, was with us.  We had 10 get the Holy Ghost (others might have but we are wanting to be certain.)  It was an awesome service.

We are in a time when we need to pray for our country, our President and President Elect.  Allow God to have His way.  :)

God has done some awesome things this week in our Impact Michigan Conference and in our church.  A mighty harvest is on its way, ripe and ready!

    Okay, study….

vs. 37  When they heard the words preached by Peter on the Day of Pentecost, they were pricked in their hearts…

They asked, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?”

I know of no other direct question and direct answer.  So many say, “oh, it isn’t important to do that or this, that was for then….  who gave it a time frame?  Christ has not returned.  As far as I know, we are still in the same dispensation as the apostles, therefore we are to do the same as them in order to have salvation.

Then Peter said unto them… (The one who was given the keys to the kingdom) “Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  For the promise is unto you and your children and to all those that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”

Is God still calling?  If He is still calling, then He is still filling.  In the book of Acts (which is the History of the Church) when ever someone recieved the Holy Ghost, they received it as a distinct and seperate experience from being baptized.  And almost always it mentions they spoke in other tongues.  Also, you cannot find anyone being baptized in any other name except in the name of Jesus.  (Before the Day of Pentecost, John baptized unto salvation, but after the Day of Pentectost, even those baptized by John were rebaptized in Jesus Name in Acts 19)

And with many other words did he testify and exhort saying, “Save yourselves from this untoward generation.”

Wow, so often we stop after vs 39… but vs 40 says to Save “Yourselves”, now we know that it is not by our actions but only through the saving power of Jesus Christ… but this scripture is requiring some action from us… through obedience.  Are we doing all that we can in obedience to be prepared for the coming of Christ?  Are we seeing sacrifice as greater?  No, scriptures states that obedience is greater than sacrifice.  We must take action and do what is asked of us.

Then they gladly received this word and were baptized and the same day there were added unto the church about 3000 souls.

They continued steadfastly in the Apostles doctrine and fellowship – and in the reaking of bread and prayer.

A fear came upon the souls (sense of awe – reverence) wonders and signs were performed through the Apostles.

All that believed came together and had all things in common…

We talk so much about our differences, yet this scripture says, all that believed were togther and had all things in common  :)   Think about it!

…sold their possessions and goods and parted them to every man as they have need.   Continuing daily  with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat with gladness and singleness of heart.

These people did it willingly (selling and giving)… it wasn’t with a “help those who don’t help themselves” mentality, but rather to preserve a church that was being heavily persecuted and outcast in their society.

Praising God and having favor with all people.  The Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.  DAILY!!

A song comes to mind… In Christ alone, I place my trust and find my glory in the power of the cross.  In every victory, let it be said of me, my source of strength, my source of hope is Christ alone.

Obama was voted President Elect last night.

As I look into the scriptures today, again I see a parallel to the times we are living in…

Peter stood with the eleven (meaning they agreed with what he was saying).

    “Harken unto my words…”

In the LAST DAYS.. I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh, your sons and daughters shall prophesy, our young men shall see visions and your old men shall dream dreams.  Both on Servants and Handmaidens, I will pour out my spirit and they will prophesy.

I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath, blood, fire and vapour of smoke.

The sun shall be turned into darkness, the moon to blood, before the Great and notable day of the Lord come.

Hear these words, Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye did yourselves also know.

Him being delivered by the determined counsel and foreknowledge of God.  Ye have taken and by wicked hands have crucified and slain.  Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.  For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord before my face for He is on my right hand (power) that I should not be moved.  Therefore did my heart rejoice and my tongue was glad.  My flesh shall rest in hope.

Thou wilt not leave my soul in Hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Thou has made me to know the ways of Life and shalt make me full of Joy with thy countenance.

David is dead and buried, but God hath sword an oath that of his fruit of his (Davids) loins, according to the flesh, He would raise up Christ to sit on his throne.

He seeing this spoke of the resurrection of Christ.  that His soul was not left in hell, neither did his flesh see corruption.

This Jesus, God hath raised up, where of we are ALL witnesses.

Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost.  He hath shed for this, which ye now see and hear.

Sit on the right hand, Let the house of Israel know that God hath made that same Jesus whom ye have crucified both Lord and Christ.

How appropriate that my scripture reading is about the Day of Pentecost!  :)

They were all assembled together.  There came a sudden sound from Heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house.

There “appeared” unto them cloven tongues like as of fire and it sat upon each of them.

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance.

There were dwelling in Jerusalem, Jews, devout men, out of every nation.

When this was noised abroad, the people came together and wer confounded, because people were speaking their different languages.

They were amazed and marvelled, saying one to another… “Aren’t these Galileans?”

And they were all amazed saying, “What meaneth this?”

Others mocked, saying, “These men are full of new wine…”

I feel we always need to be amazed at the miraculous act of God filling someone with His spirit.  We live in a time that we have so much fiction, so much from Hollywood, that we have truly forgotten how to be amazed.  We watch movies, or tv shows, that make us see the impossible (illusions) to the point where when it really happens… we wonder how it happened, and what trick was used to do that.  We have become a skeptical people, looking for the answer to how and why instead of just believing that God is able and He knows the reasons!  I want to just believe!  I want to stop living with skeptical thoughts, and just trust that God is the answer to all things, and that He will do His will.  I just need to trust!

Mathias – Chose to take the place of Judas.

The apostles went to Jerusalem from Mount Olivet, which is a Sabbath days journey… and went into the upper room… There was Peter, James, John, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James (Alphaeus), Simon and Judas (brother of James).  They were with one accord in prayer and supplication with the women, Mary and brethren.

Peter stood and said to the 120… Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, concerning Judas.  For he was part of them and part of the ministry.

“Judas purchased a field (Potters field) with his reward of iniquity.  Field of blood.  Let his habitation be no mans dwelling, and let is bishopric be given to another.”

Out of the men who accompanied them, beginning with the Baptism of John to the day Christ was taken..he must be ordained to be a witness with us of his ressurection.

They appointed 2, Joseph called Barabas, whose surname was Justus and Mathias.  They prayed, that the Lord knowing hearts of all men, who shall take part in this ministry (from Judas).  They gave forth their lots and the lot fell upon Mathias.  Hew as numbered with the 11 Apostles.

    1. Peter (Simon)
    2. James (Zebedee)
    3. John (Beloved)
    4. Bartholomew
    5. Philip
    6. Andrew (Peter’s brother)
    7. Thomas (doubter)
    8. Matthew (publican)
    9. James (Alphaeus/aka Thaddeus and brother of Judas)
    10. Simon Zilotes
    11. Judas
    12. Judas Iscariot
    13. Replaced Judas Iscariot – Mathias

Luke and Mark were not Apostles, but they were disciples.
